Make no mistake if you have yard drainage issues call Sam. I've had two previous French Drains and it was a waste of time and money, low grade materials were used and they both failed over time. I traveled from north Florida to Orlando to get materials from Sam and followed all his directions and tips, including his YouTube videos. We replaced a system a different contractor (not Sam) installed previously that wasn't up to par and I got tired of it failing and backing up. We did this ourselves following Sam's directions and it works flawlessly. The 3.5" FDM pipe is perfection and the pop-up emits all our roof runoff with no hassle. The pipe stays clean, and our side yard stays NOT FLOODED! The FDM products and system are the real deal and Sam will shoot you straight on how to get it done right! If you're in central Florida you're not going to get a better install than Sam's French Drains and if you're outside his install radius your best to go to him for materials and tips - more than worth your time! Sam is so knowledgeable and his work was impressive. Even my husband, who is hard to impress, complimented Sam's work. This man knows what he's doing. I had 4 inch drains installed in my pool deck, but then I had my yard crew install the French drains. All of them are clogged and improperly installed. Sam unearthed all the issues. He worked tirelessly until he pulled out huge root systems from my drains. No wonder rain was washing back through the enclosure into the pool. He even advised us on other drainage around the house. With hurricane season being here, we really need to correct and improve the irrigation around our pool and the house in general. I'm so glad we found him. His prices are very reasonable, too. I’ve dealt with many contractors over the years, and my experience with Sam has been one of the best. We had a French drain that was backing up into a small courtyard on our property, causing a muddy mess every time it rained heavily. Sam unclogged the drain, but also advised me that the problem was that the drain was not installed properly originally. He proposed a new installation, which he quoted reasonably. I needed some pipe to do an underground drainage system from my downspouts. I found Sam while looking at another web site that recommended him. Sam was responsive to my call and had the 4 inch pipe I needed. Not only did he have it he delivered to the house which made things really easy. The 4 inch pipe is not the black thin stuff but a heavy blue colored corrugated piping called ARMOR solid pipe. He also has the slotted pipe. Both in 100ft rolls. Great small personal company. I called Sam to fix my drainage problem which was not resolved from a previous company. The previous reviews helped me on selecting Sam. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of work done. The system he installed is neat and effective. It’s a beauty to go outside in the rain and watch it work. The water is removed immediately from the land and out where it’s designed to go . Sam takes pride in his work with great communication. What I admired the most is the Sam taking other situations in consideration that I was not thinking about, like tying the drainage water from the pool deck into the system. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Customer Review for Sam’s French Drains and Landscape We originally hired a primary installer to resolve our drainage issues, but they never fixed the problem—and eventually stopped responding entirely. A second contractor claimed they could correct everything, but reused the same inadequate materials and clearly didn’t understand how to optimize a yard drain, downspout drain, or French drain system. They also failed to address surface water from rain and sprinklers. As a result, our yard continued to erode, water pooled after every rain or sprinkler cycle, and there was no proper outlet for runoff. The drains lacked consistent slope, and the catch basin they installed could not be adjusted—forcing every pipe to be raised to match it, which only made drainage worse. After spending over an hour evaluating my system, Sam indicated I had a high quality sewage pump, not usually installed in home systems, but it was not installed deep enough to allow the water to drain. He quoted a price which included lowering the pump correctly so it would drain into the drainage pipes he would install so water would drain into the street. He had city workmen come to indicate underground pipes, made the trench to install, and then replaced the sod strips he removed. All work done efficiently. I have not had any water seepage since Sam evaluated and repaired my system. Not only do I appreciate the quality work and supplies, but I value Sam's honesty. I had a problem with my drain pipes getting crushed by lawn mowers and tractors. At Sams French Drains you can get the high octane corrogated pipe that will not crush and will last. My back patio area has standing water after it rains. I called Sam's French Drains to perform hydro-jetting of the drainage system. Sam took the time to explain the problem and told me the process of clearing the clogged drainage system. He was very thorough and determined to get the job done right. A week later I asked him to put in a clog free pop-up and extend the drainage beyond my sidewalk out to the street. Sam had to dig under the driveway. Sam and his team are the people you call when you need anything done in your yard but especially drainage issues. We Had drainage issues in our backyard where a low spot was causing water to flood into an external garage. Sam came out and gave me multiple solutions and quick estimates. I traveled from north Florida to Orlando to get materials from Sam and followed all his directions and tips, including his YouTube videos. We replaced a system a different contractor (not Sam) installed previously that wasn't up to par and I got tired of it failing and backing up. We installed the buried downspouts ourselves following Sam's directions and it works flawlessly. The 3.5" FDM pipe is perfection and the pop-up emits all our roof runoff with no hassle. The pipe stays clean, and our side yard stays NOT FLOODED! The FDM products and system are the real deal and Sam will shoot you straight on how to get it done right! If you're in central Florida you're not going to get a better install than Sam's French Drains and if you're outside his install radius your best to go to him for materials and tips - more than worth your time! I am so glad we went with Sam for our yard drainage issues. He explains everything, uses top notch materials, and stays as long as it takes to get the job done right. He really knows his craft and is meticulous about his work. He even makes rounds to your property after it rains to make sure everything is flowing properly. No shortcuts. That is old school work ethic and it is hard to find nowadays. We thought he would be more expensive b/c of all of the above and the materials he uses, but he is not. We got 2 other quotes from bigger companies and they were actually more expensive. There is a waiting list due to it being a smaller business and personalized service, but it is so worth the wait. My backyard has a negative grade and sits at a lower level than the neighbors. This caused constant water accumulation near the foundation and wet backyard. Sam did a detailed study of the problem, provided expert guidance and installed the perfect french drain system i have ever seen. He is very knowledgable in his field of expertise. He uses top grade material and is very thorough with his job. Sam installed 100s of feet of double pipe french drain, sump pump and also connected the downspouts with a different kind of adapter for easy cleanout.
